The anticipation for the EDC lineup is always fierce. Insomniac's flagship festival in Las Vegas is a ravers paradise where sight and sound merge into an unrivaled spectacle. Today the lineup for EDC Las Vegas 2022 dropped for the event taking place May 20-22 at the Las Vegas Speedway. It's a cross-section of the nascent dance music genres. A celebration of electronic music culture, with a bit of the expected and plenty of surprises.
It was already announced that Kaskade and Deadmau5 would premiere their new collaborative project KX5 at EDC, but the epic back-to-back sets don't stop there. Those who've been to Holy Ship may have caught an A-Trak and Craze b2b, but seeing these two celebrated turntablists on one of the world's largest stages is a can't miss event.
Other head-turning collaborative sets include Alix Perez b2b Imanu, Bear Grillz b2b Kompany, Bijou b2b Habstrakt, Delta Heavy b2b Koven b2b Muzz, Doctor P b2b Funtcase doing a classics set, Getter b2b Space Laces, LP Giobbi b2b Born Dirty, Matroda b2b Bleu Claire, Nitti Gritti b2b Wuki, Vintage Culture b2b James Hype, Nostalgix b2b Wenzday, and Subfocus & Wilkinson Present: Portals.
There's much to be expected from a lineup this large. Yes, it does include DJs that regularly perform at EDC like Chris Lake, Timmy Trumpet, David Guetta, and Tiesto. However, there's also a broad showing of veteran, international, and up-and-coming artists making considerable inroads in dance music across the world. This goes to show that Insomniac stays on the cutting edge of the culture. Artists like Anfisa Letyago, Ann Clue, Gene Ferris, HoneyLuv, Indira Pagonatto, Joseph Capriatti, TSHA, Mary Droppinz, Wade, and Tinlicker are making appearances.
And, of course, there are a couple of curveballs thrown in. Both Porter Robinson and Madeon will be doing Dj sets. And so will Grimes. Maybe this means she'll show up to Chris Lake's set for a live performance of "A Drug From God?"
Once the lineup is revealed, tickets always sell out quickly. GA tickets are long gone however, GA+ and VIP tickets are still available. Don't sleep on this. This is one of Insomniac's largest lineups to date. See you all under the electric sky.
