Anabel Englund
The American songstress-DJs’ projects a unique warmth and thrilling timbre only a California native could provide. Her debut album, Messing with Magic, was widely received with positive reviews. Featuring plenty of tech house with heartfelt songwriting and dance floor ready tempos, this is Anabel’s stellar sound in a nutshell.
CID
GRAMMY-winning producer CID knows how to build a great song. He’s remixed songs by artists like Lana Del Ray, LSD, Kaskade, and CeeLo Green. Most recently, he remixed the GRAMMY-award-winning tune “Truth Hurts” by Lizzo—his remixes are club-ready bops. It’s simply impossible for CID to produce anything but bangers. “Serving up strictly club-centric music,” CID’s latest project is the Night Service Only music label, in partnership with Spinnin’ Records. Check out his weekly ‘Night Service Only Radio” show on SiriusXM.
Dillon Nathaniel
Two words, Hypnotic. House. Dillon Nathaniel has a penchant for producing some of the most hypnotic house music. His quick ascension to festival stages across the US has caught the attention of artists like Chris Lake, Lee Foss, and Solardo. The audio engineer grew up on road trips filled with music from Carl Cox and Sasha—it’s no wonder his sound is as dynamic and rhythmic as it is engaging.
Eskuche
This Russian-born, New York-based artist has had house releases on leading electronic music labels Relief, Repopulate Mars, elrow, and many, many more. These label features have led to Eskuche playing some of the best international festivals, including elrow, Electric Zoo, and Paradise NYC. His latest release is an infusion of acid-bass and high-energy high hats with collaborator Mihalis Safras, “Feeling Good.” Don’t miss this impressive artist’s set in the latest installment of OCHO.
Lee Foss
Hot Creations co-label founder Lee Foss was influenced early on by the music that permeated through his hometown in Chicago, Illinois. After years of producing house and disco-esque tunes in the late 90s, a chance encounter in Ibiza with underground house head Jamie Jones cemented the foundation for Foss’ career to beam from. His sound has evolved into nu-school house and synth-heavy techno laden with samples from 90s club hits, ample high hats, and thumping kicks.
Reboot
Frank Heinrich, aka Reboot, is an icon within the realm of house and techno music. With a Rock N’ Beats party at Ibiza’s Ushuaïa, his residency at Pacha, and a local residency at his hometown in Frankfurt at the FREUD club, Reboot keeps busy and continues to keep his house projects as fresh and dynamic as ever.
SOHMI
BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard has placed Korean-American DJ and songstress SOHMI on our radar. How about yours? The minimal house and techno producer began playing piano and singing at an early age. To this day, she infuses elements of vocal inspiration and sounds of her upbringing in her projects, ranging from genres like 90’s pop and R&B to UK Garage and Detroit techno. DJ sets from SOHMI can best be described as enchanting—seductive vocals juxtapose dark techno and minimal house music, broken up by breaks and left-field sounds.
Wheats
Hailing from the UK, rising producer Wheats has released house cuts on Hottrax, Circus & Solid Grooves and continues to gain fans with every new record drop. The DJ has support from underground legends like Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, and Kerri Chandler, who signed Wheats on the spot after hearing several demos in New York—he’s one of the hottest house producers today, don’t sleep on Wheats.
