Meow Wolf and Live Nation Partner for Innovative Festival Experience 'Vortex'
Santa Fe-based arts and entertainment company Meow Wolf and Live Nation have come together to create a unique outdoor festival experience, Vortex, at a secret location in the heart of Denver.
Dedicated to making a positive impact on people and the environment, Vortex is a three-day fest that aims to empower and uplift marginalized groups by hiring locally and supporting sustainability initiatives.
This year, the festival will take place from August 5-7, when festival-goers can revel in two stages of multi-genre talent in a vibrant outdoor setting.
Vortex is the brainchild of Meow Wolf, which has built a lasting reputation for creating immersive, interactive experiences that draw audiences into fantastical tales in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Denver.
Marsi Gray, Senior Creative Producer at Meow Wolf, announced the return of the festival, saying, “Vortex is back! Presenting this experience in Denver is near and dear to my heart, and we’re beyond thrilled that we can now safely gather and play together.”
Much like Meow Wolf’s other events, the festival experience will be a vibrant showcase of local talent, deepening connections within the community through “beautifully curated music and art.”
Eric Pirritt, President of Live Nation Colorado, which Meow Wolf will be partnering with for this year’s Vortex, added, “We are excited to partner with the amazing team at Meow Wolf to continue to push the limits of the live music experience here in Denver.”
Adding to the music, Vortex will also feature food and drink trucks, experiential art, offbeat performers, wild costumes, and more fantastic Meow Wolf elements on offer for music lovers to indulge in.
This year, headliners at the festival include Toro y Moi, Duke Dumont, Dixon, Channel Tres, 100 gecs, Josh Butler, Dixon, Avalon Emerson, Bob Moses, Boy Harsher, Demuir, Chris Stussy, Archie Hamilton, and Maya Jane Coles.
