Outside Lands Brings All Electronic Soma Tent Back for 2022
Outside Lands
Outside Lands, San Francisco's beloved multi-genre festival is always a microcosm of the spirit of the wonderfully weird city by the bay. And while there's been a reasonable showing for dance music in the past, it wasn't until last year that house had its own home. The Soma Tent premiered at last year's late October edition, and this year they are bringing it back as they return to their regularly scheduled late summer dates, August 5-7.
This year's lineup carries on what will hopefully be a tradition of finely curated underground dance music. With hometown hero and Dirtybird head honcho Papa Claude Von Stroke heading up the lineup alongside Dixon and Tokimonsta.
The lineup is diving deep into Afro-house, tech house, and techno this year with Berlin and New York-Based African-born Ameme; J. Worra, who will be coming off of her run as direct support for Swedish House Mafia; and Brazillian-born techno phenom ANNA. The lineup also includes Avalon Emerson, Cassian, Detroit legend DJ Minx, Dj Seinfeld, and Ellen Alien.
San Francisco has had a long history with dance music and is a decidedly house music city. It's great to see Outside Lands taking notice of its reemergence as one of the premier cities in the global dance music community.
Outside Lande happens August 5-7 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Ca. Tickets for Outside Lands are available now.
