Second Sky Fest Cancels Day Two of Event
Second Sky Festival has announced that the eagerly-anticipated electronic dance music event will be moving forward as “a single-day event on Saturday, October 29th,” effectively removing the event’s second date of festivities and performances scheduled for Sunday.
The public statement published to Instagram by the Second Sky Fest team reads: “2-Day and Sunday Single-Day pass holders will receive an email from AXS about rollover or refund options. Hotel Package purchasers will receive an email from Fuse about rollover or refund options as well. 2-Day and Sunday Single-Day pass holders who rollover to Saturday tickets will also be offered early access to a festival-related event on Sunday in the Bay Area.”
Second Sky also announced an additional "festival-related event," to make up for the cancelation. No further information about that is available at this time.
The Bay Area festival, now in its third iteration, is curated and spearheaded by GRAMMY-nominated producer Porter Robinson.
The genre-fluid musician has enlisted an array of dance artists for this year’s Second Sky, which includes a revamped ‘Nurture’ set by Porter himself, a Virtual Self a B2B performance with G Jones, and live sets from RL Grime, Fred again…, Bladee, Hudson Mohawke, Magdalena Bay, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and salute.
