After being notified by Ticketmaster of show cancellations for three stops of Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming Paradise Again tour, fans of the dance music triad began speculating on Reddit about other stops possibly in danger of being cut from the tour schedule. Cancellations at this time include Metlife Stadium in New Jersey, Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota, and Footprint Center in Phoenix. Rumors began richochetting across the Swedish House Mafia subreddit on July 20, with many believing Denver would be the next canceled stop. Redditors shared screenshots of fluctuations in pricing across a plethora of cities and stops along the Paradise Again tour. And now, a vast decrease in ticket pricing continues to be seen across the board. One Redditor’s shared screenshot from Ticketmaster illustrated a narrow drop in pricing for floor tickets, from $329 down to $150. Though Swedish House Mafia has not yet confirmed any of the rumors, fans mostly remain optimistic and excited for the tour which is set to kick off in Miami on July 29 and close in Finland in November. It is still unknown whether the cancellations will continue to grow or if new shows will be announced to replace the canceled stops.
The tour is the electronic dance trio’s first proper one since their final Farewell Tour in 2013, which grossed them $200 million but cost $210 million, according to NME. A list of current tour dates for the Paradise Again World Tour is available to view in its entirety on the official SHM website.
