Disfreq - Gotta Be Big
One of the latest offerings on Gorgon City’s Realm records, “Gotta Be Big” is a stark departure from what we have come to expect from the label. Irish duo Joe and Cahir of Disfreq are quickly making names for themselves for their masterful use of trippy vocals (sampled from Arman Van Helden's remix of Tori Amos' "Professional Widow") and snarling 303 vibes. “Gotta Be Big” is the perfect acid-tinged techno banger.
Charlotte de Witte - Kali
We have waited too long to include the current queen of techno on our weekly feature. Charlotte De Witte is a true master of her craft. Hands down the biggest name in the world right now for the genre, she brings incredible sonic diversity to her sets and productions. ‘Kali’ is an example of her high speed side. The track comes in at a whopping 138 BPM and carries incredible energy throughout, mixing an intoxicating female vocal sample with relentless drums to create a true banger.

Charlotte de Witte: New Form IV: Formula presented by Formula 1
A lifelong fan of adrenaline and speed, Charlotte De Witte brought her passions to life with a unique livestream at the Tuscan Formula 1 circuit. To celebrate the occasion, she played a monstrous ninety-minute set, and released an EP aptly titled Formula EP that incorporates the incredibly intoxicating engine noises from Formula 1 cars.
Awakenings Easter Festival 2022 - Enrico Sangiuliano
One of the hottest names in techno, and part of the genres greatest power couple, Enrico Sangiuliano is now a must-see act in the world of techno. His set at Awakenings saw him bring his typical energy to one of the most impressive venues in the world. Playing a whopping six IDs, this is not one to miss.
Techno Throwbacks
Nina Kraviz - Ghetto Kraviz (2011)
For this week's throwback section, we have decided to highlight a more recent part of techno history with the least techno, techno track put out by Nina Kraviz. “Ghetto Kraviz” was a true breakout track for the Russian super star. It features her own vocals, and a plethora of remixes have made the track a staple in any techno DJs library.
George Lanham - Fullbourn Haze (2013)
Released on the label Minimum Syndicat, “Fullbourn Haze” will truly put listeners in a haze. Firmly in the sphere of hyper-aggressive techno, this track is the definition of peak-time production, with the power to drop any dancefloor into madness.
