Hard Dance Throwback: Code Black, Toneshifterz - OI F#KN OI (2018)
Remember a few years back when the Australian dance music community (rightfully) protested Sydney’s lockout laws? Those restrictions have now been lifted, yet I can’t help but bounce around when I listen to Code Back and Toneshifterz’s response to the lockout laws. “OI F#KN OI” plays out an entire scene at the door of a nightclub — the patron on the mic is mad as hell he can’t get into the club, and the beats that follow are massive. I find myself reciting the lines and shouting the track’s catchy hook even when just driving in my car. Turn this one up loud!
