Felix Cartal

Felix Cartal is a Canadian electronic producer who creates melodic, energetic tracks aimed squarely at the dancefloor, but he also has a sentimental side, as evidenced by many melodramatic songs he's recorded with female vocalists. Cartal fuses his songwriting and production roots with his love for club culture, enlisting a wide range of vocalists and creating a singular take on indie dance music. Hailing from Vancouver, he initially established himself when Steve Aoki signed him to Dim Mak.
Cartal made his album debut in 2010. Meanwhile, he increasingly grew as a DJ, touring N. America, all while releasing freely downloadable mixes online. Various EP’s released over the mid 2010's cemented Felix as an originator of the trend of dance music producers collaborating with unique vocalists as well as being a pioneer of a vocal chop sound. However, never content to reproduce the same sound, Cartal unveiled a stylistic shift in 2016, best heard on his remixes of Selena Gomez, Wafia, Galantis, Dillon Francis, and ALMA, all of which topped the Hype Machine charts and garnered him millions of streams.
His latest album NEXT SEASON was released in Summer ‘18. Cartal has also recently collaborated with Kaskade on the singles "Fakin It” and "More" and with R3hab on “Killing Time." His expertly crafted dance remake of “Get What You Give,” was certified platinum in 2018 and his 2019 hit "Love Me" with Lights peaked at #4 on Canadian Top 40 radio.
