Ultra returns to its home at historic Bayfront Park March 25 - 27, 2022 following their recent agreement with the Downtown Neighbors Alliance. The oft contentious relationship turned partnership means that Ultra can continue to be a beacon for Miami, and wholly represent it as a world-class mecca for dance music.
Ultra's phase one lineup continues the festival's history of booking talent across the wide breadth of dance music. Alison Wonderland, Amelie Lens, Camelphat, Fisher, Nicky Romero, Oliver Tree, Sofi Tuker, Pendulum, Tale of Us, and many more are slated to perform.
The phase one lineup also includes several debut performances from iconic artists in dance music. Gareth Emery will premier his brand new live analog show as well as his new album. The new show shows off another side to the veteran producer. Emery is stepping out from behind the decks and picking up a guitar to perform his new album and a selection of classics live for the Ultra audience.
Carl Cox, an institution of the Ultra brand, will join a long list of house and techno's finest for another year of the underground's favorite Ultra stage, Resistance. The techno veteran is also premiering his new three-hour live hybrid set at Ultra 2022.
Germany's masked maven of minimal, Boris Brechja, makes his Ultra debut in 2022 and is hosting a stage. It will be the first time his FCKNG SERIOUS brand touches down stateside.
And in yet another Ultra first Belgian hard dance label Dirty Workz is hosting the first-ever hardstyle stage at UMF. Hard dance has dominated the American dance scene in recent years, and it's great to see that festival brands are taking up the mantle for the heavier dance music styles.
The completely redesigned festival grounds will feature a new home for Resistance. Complete with multiple areas to dance, the Carl Cox Megastructure and The Cove offer an expanded experience for house and techno fans. In a call back to the now legendary Resistance Island, the Cove sits on the waterfront nestled amongst a grove of palm trees overlooking Biscayne Bay.
