The summer’s been heating up, and festivals are happening worldwide. It almost seems that the world is back to normal after the two years plus hiatus we were all forced to take. And this year, promoters, musicians, and DJs all seem to be making up for the lost time, with each festival featuring a star-studded lineup.
With so many event choices, it’s impossible to attend them all. But we’ve helped make things easy by picking our top six choices that we feel are must-attend festivals and listing them here for you.
1. Hideout Festival Croatia
Hideout Festival is a five-day festie taking place July 3-7 on the island of Pag in Zrce, Croatia. Featuring heavy-hitters in house, techno, grime, garage, and D&B, Hideout has five open-air venues, with events happening day and night. With so much going on, it’s no wonder this festival has sold out each year since its debut in 2011. Daytime is for beach, pool, and boat parties, while nighttime is for headliners in the open-air venues. Touted as being Hideout’s best year, this year’s lineup is a true reflection of that, featuring Andy C, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Eats Everything, Hybrid Minds, John Summit, and Shy Fx, to name a few. 2. Airbeat One Festival
Airbeat One Festival is a German dance music festival taking place July 6-10 at Neustadt-Glewe Airport in Northern Germany. Known for its impressive stage setups and incredible lineups, Airbeat One Festival is also touted as Europe’s most popular electronic music festival and takes place over four days. With an eclectic lineup of house, techno, hardstyle, and EDM, this event has something for everyone. Headliners include Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, Kygo, Tchami, and Infected Mushroom. And for an added treat, the Spanish traveling party elrow is taking over the Arena Friday and Saturday night, so you know that’s going to be crazy in the best way possible.

3. Ultra Europe

Ultra Europe is Europe’s edition of the global massive. Happening in Split, Croatia, from July 8-10, Ultra Europe is a three-day outdoor festival returning after a two-year forced hiatus. Determined to make up for lost time, their lineup is pretty epic and includes names like ACRAZE, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Oliver Heldens, and Hardwell, who continues to make his return since gracing the stage at Ultra in Miami this past March. And speaking of Miami, Ultra brings some of that Miami heat and chaos to Croatia, so expect the same epic production, lighting, and vibes at this one.

4. Global Dance Festival
Global Dance Festival Colorado returns to Empower Field July 15-16 for two days of music in the sun. GDF has been around since the early aughts and was formerly held at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater but grew too large for what that beautiful location could offer. So since 2017, GDF has been in its current location. As per usual, there’ll be food trucks, immersive art, and epic talent like Above & Beyond, Canabliss, Ivy Lab, k?d, Shiba San, and Wax Motif.

5. Northern Nights Music Festival
Northern Nights Music Festival returns to Cooks Valley Campground in Northern California this July 15-17. Northern Nights is a music and arts, wellness, cannabis, and yoga retreat featuring a bevy of musical talent. Festival organizers like to keep things intimate, with only about 6000 attendees. Coupling the serene location with high-end cannabis works incredibly well, and Northern Nights continues to be a pioneer and trendsetter in the cannabis meets music arena. Get down to the musical sounds of Claude von Stroke, CloZee, Of the Trees, Wreckno, Chocolate Sushi, and Discopill, alongside a ton of their friends helping make this three-day event one to remember.

6. HARD Summer Music Festival
HARD Summer Music Festival returns to San Bernardino July 29th-31st, taking over the NOS Event Center for three days of dance music and hip-hop. As the name suggests, this event goes HARD and provides an extraordinary lineup of big-name talent and up-and-coming artists. On Friday, expect to see Megan Thee Stallion headlining and legendary turntablist Craze dropping a DNB set. Saturday brings you Lil Uzi Vert, Three 6 Mafia, and LP Giobbi, while Sunday has Porter Robinson, SIDEPIECE, and Justin Martin.
