“As the world continues to evolve and tap into Web 3.0, we made this forward-thinking decision to allow our Electric Zoo family to be part of the future,” Electric Zoo said in a press statement.
Beginning Monday, May 2, 2022, Electric Zoo will only accept the following cryptocurrencies for ticket purchases: Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, BNB, and Solana. Follow the links to view current exchange prices.
Furthermore, the festival will also release special ticket types to exclusive NFT holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club, Doodles, and others to be announced.
They added, “NFTs are just another way we plan to leave our footprint in the digital world. Our fans – who also have their finger on the pulse of electronic music culture and the virtual world – deserve to gain access to cool perks for being NFT holders.”
Established in 2009 by Made Event, Electric Zoo is one of NYC’s largest music festivals. It features top-tier names in electronic music, bringing a wide variety of acts from around the globe and across the spectrum of electronic music’s various subgenres.
