Amnesia Ibiza Unveils Details for their First NFT Collection

It appears that legendary superclub Amnesia in Ibiza will dive into the NFT game. The countdown has begun on their website for a drop to take place June 21, 2021, at 21:21:21 (9:21p).

Hosted by Makersplace, the NFT collection includes three unique pieces of art, music, and VIP club access. Amnesia has managed to remain on the cutting edge of club culture for 45 years, so it’s appropriate that they would be the first club on the White Isle to jump into the popular NFT space.

Amnesia partnered with digital artist Hipworth to create a giant 1:1 piece that will exist both virtually as an NFT and physically, installed inside Amnesia Ibiza. You may recognize the Australian artist’s name from the iconic portrait he created for the Carl Cox NFT drop in January 2021.

The owner of the NFT will also gain lifetime VIP table access for themselves and three guests. It will allow them to enter the club at any time to see the physical version of this one-of-a-kind piece.

Hipworth is a Melbourne, Australia-based artist whose style combines collage, graphic design, illustration, and 3D animation. He says, “I couldn't be more excited to be collaborating with Amnesia on their first NFT which will also find a home in the club as a physical print. Showcasing my work with an institution like this is a super honor and I can't wait to share the pieces”

Also available are 150 numbered NFTs based on the iconic Amnesia pyramid. Buyers will receive a unique and handcrafted medallion in the shape of the pyramid. Made by Melbourne, Australia-based boutique jeweler Heart of Bone, each medallion contains an RFID chip granting VIP access to the club for two people and two drinks, any day of the Ibiza season.

Heart of Bone creates gender-neutral bespoke jewelry from their studio in Melbourne, Australia. Their statement pieces have been seen on Miley Cyrus, Lil Nas X, Bad Bunny, and Billie Eilish.

Rounding out the collection is an animated piece based on the history of Amnesia. It will include unreleased music by the club’s resident DJ Mar-T and access to a secure digital vault of 45 handpicked tracks that cover the 45 years since the club opened its doors in 1976. There will be 999 copies.

Amnesia has been a club of many firsts. They were the first club on the White Isle and paved the way for the world-renown dance culture that exists there today.
